Occupational Therapy
Our goal in occupational therapy is to improve your ability to perform everyday tasks, such as bathing, cooking, dressing, checkbook management and home safety if you’ve had an accident or illness that makes those things difficult. We have a kitchen where you can practice some of these tasks under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
Our therapists also can help you with:
- Activities of daily living and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Neuromuscular evaluation for strengthening as well as for splinting affected areas and for lymphedema (swelling) management
- Assessments to evaluate safety and provide recommendations for kitchen, bathrooms and other rooms of your home
- Hand, arm and shoulder rehabilitation
- Dementia evaluations and caregiver education
