Cardiac Rehabilitation

If you’ve had a heart attack, cardiac surgery, a heart-lung transplant or are at risk for coronary artery disease, we can help with your rehabilitation in our large cardiac rehabilitation department.

We offer both Phase II and Phase III cardiac rehabilitation.

Phase II therapy is intended to help you continue to recover and improve your habits after you've been discharged from the hospital. The program includes exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, diet, lifestyle modification and home exercise. You will come to the program several times a week and while you exercise we will monitor your heart rate and blood pressure.

After you’ve completed Phase II, which can take up to 12 weeks, you can continue to come for Phase III monitored exercise, which is a less-intense program that some patients elect to continue for years.
