Internal Medicine
At the Duluth Clinic-Superior, our Internal Medicine physicians specialize in preventive care and managing the complex diseases and conditions associated with adulthood.

An Internist (just like a Family Practice doctor) can serve as your primary care physician, caring for the "whole you" — keeping you healthy and well, as well as treating you when you are sick or living with a chronic medical condition.

And we’re connected to Duluth Clinic doctors in 55 specialties and subspecialties so you have easy access to specialty care, too. That’s how we can offer you world-class care with a hometown touch.

E-visit available

You’ve got a new, convenient way to connect with your Internal Medicine physician: an e-visit.

You can use e-mail to get advice and prescriptions for eight common conditions: pink eye (conjunctivitis), diarrhea, cough, sinus problems, urinary problems, insomnia, erectile dysfunction, and vaginal discharge or irritation.

To start an e-visit, you need to be enrolled in SMDC MyHealth. There you’ll complete an online questionnaire to submit to your physician.

E-visits are available seven days a week, 365 days a year, for patients ages 18 and older. A request submitted between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. is answered within four hours. Requests received after 10 p.m. are returned by noon the next day.

An e-visit costs $40 and you need a credit card to use the service. We will submit the claim to your insurance before your card is charged for whatever part of the fee isn’t covered. E-visits are covered by some insurance companies, but not by Medicare or Medical Assistance.

Click here to start an e-visit by connecting to SMDC MyHealth. You’ll need your log-in, password and your credit card.
